AngelWorks' premiere partner

AngelWorks' philanthropy is geared mostly to meeting basic human needs to combat
problems of poverty and hunger. Projects with Botanica, Wichita's gardens, are somewhat
different in that they  meet needs of the soul. Through their cooperation, Botanica and
AngelWorks are providing comforting, nurturing and memory-making experiences that we
hope will last a lifetime.

Hundreds of low-income families
enjoy holiday at Illuminations

For the third year, in exchange for sponsorship of
Botanica's Illumination's event AngelWorks asked that
free tickets to the event be made available to Title I
schools, so that families from those schools could
attend free. Nearly 900 people made use of these
free tickets. Thank you USD 259 for your role in
making this event a success.

More than 5,000 spend
Mo
ther's Day at Botanica

More than 5,100 people turned out on
May 14th to spend Mother's Day at
Botanica, the Wichita gardens, an
all-time record crowd for the gardens
.
Sponsored by AngelWorks for the
third year in a row, admission was
free so that families could enjoy a
special day without concern for cost.

Families came to stroll the gardens, picnic,
take photos and make free cards.

The event was created to provide a free
community celebration that provides ways
to acknowledge moms both living and
deceased, as well as women whose children
died.

AngelWorks will sponsor the event again in
200
7 and 2008.
